What We Do
Use of ultraviolet light for disinfection is not a new technology, it has been around since the 1800's, and used in hospital settings for years, but with Coronavirus among us, the disinfection of surfaces takes on a whole new perspective.
Texas Ultraviolet strives to provide an adjunct to any cleaning regime with UV-C light disinfection of surfaces. Texas Ultraviolet utilizes NSF certified machines which irradiate the air and surfaces with 253.7 nm germicidal lamps. UVGI (Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation) reduces microorganisms such as mold, bacteria, fungus and viruses by 99.99%. Although with any cleaning regime, surfaces can be re-contaminated immediately, regular UVGI disinfection does not allow for accumulation of microorganisms to the point it was before. Most manual cleaning is suboptimal and has a human error factor, meaning surfaces cleaned by wiping may not be equally disinfected or missed completely. Texas Ultraviolet utilizes multiple machines and deployment vessels to maximize coverage and ensure all surfaces receive the optimal dose or fluence to inactivate microorganisms.
